Dougo-yama Ski resort

This place is known as the birthplace of skiing and is home to a prestigious ski resort with a long history. Unlike other resorts that rely on artificial snowmaking, this resort uses natural snow, resulting in a smaller snowfall but softer snow quality. On clear days, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Chugoku Mountains from the mountaintop. The resort also features a 1.5-kilometer long cruising course. (Separate fees may apply for participation.)
Mount Dogo, located on the border with Tottori Prefecture, offers hiking and trekking trails during the summer.

Taishakukyo

One of Japan's designated national parks, Taishakukyo, is an approximately 18m valley located in the central part of the Chugoku Mountains. You can see stalactite caves and the “God Bridge”, known as one of the three great natural bridges in the world. In addition, at Shinryu Lake, you can experience thrilling activities such as open boarding, kayaking, and sightseeing boats, allowing you to fully appreciate the beautiful landscape that harmoniously combines nature and human craftsmanship. The spacious grounds offer various attractions in each area, and the scenery changes with the seasons, allowing you to immerse yourself in the grandeur of nature and refresh your mind.
※Please note that open boarding, kayaking, and sightseeing boats require separate reservations and additional fees.

Miyoshi Mononoke Museum

Officially known as the Yumoto Goichi Memorial Japanese Yokai Museum, this museum explores the concept of "yokai," supernatural entities, believed to be responsible for unexplainable phenomena, disasters, and epidemics in Japanese folklore. These entities have been both feared and revered, coexisting alongside humans for centuries. The museum's exhibits range from ancient artifacts provided by yokai collector Goichi Yumoto to interactive installations by teamLab, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of yokai, which is a vital part of Japanese culture.
